Perinatal & Postpartum
Pregnancy and new motherhood are supposed to be joyful—but what if they’re not?
If you’re feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself during pregnancy or after giving birth, you could be experiencing perinatal or postpartum depression. This is incredibly common, and it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.
You might notice things like:
-
Crying more than usual or feeling emotionally numb
-
Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much—even when the baby sleeps
-
Feeling disconnected from your baby, partner, friends, or yourself
-
Constant worry, guilt, or thoughts like “I’m not a good mom”
-
A sense of dread, panic, or feeling like something is “off”
These feelings can be scary and isolating—but they are also treatable.
